WHY 505? WHY NOT 513?

.Why 505? We know that it stands for 5th of May 2013, but why?

.March 2008 general elections were called 308 general elections. To be consistent, May 2013 general elections should be called 513 general elections. But 513 means something very bad for Malaysians. Thus, May 2013 general elections are called 505 general elections.

.In the just concluded general elections, Barisan Nasional could only manage to win by a simple majority, just like the previous elections. Would this trend remain?

.If we look at other developed countries, it is not common in those countries to win by more than a simple majority. Could that be seen as a cause and effect relation?
